Service Desk Technician

About the role

Hall & Wilcox is seeking an experienced Service Desk Technician to join its Technology team in Sydney. The role provides national systems support and desktop assistance for the office, acting as the first point of contact for technology‑related service requests.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to user inquiries following service desk procedures and log all requests.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for a range of hardware and software.
• Escalate complex queries and coordinate timely service delivery.
• Communicate progress of inquiries from receipt to closure.
• Handle court‑ordered document downloads and manage portable storage devices securely.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Service Desk Technician or similar role in a professional services environment.
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and excellent customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Self‑motivated, adaptable and able to work independently or within a team.
