Service Contract Specialist – Mining Equipment

About the role

The Service Contract Specialist is a key Sandvik representative responsible for implementing and commercially managing service contracts across Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. The role works closely with service personnel, planning, reliability, commercial teams and customers to ensure contracts meet agreed terms, KPIs and continuous‑improvement goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of service contracts, from mobilisation through to close‑out, ensuring delivery against scope, timelines and KPIs.
• Monitor contract performance, profitability and compliance, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead regular contract review meetings with customers and internal stakeholders, providing clear reporting on performance and commercial outcomes.
• Handle contract variations, rate adjustments and renewals, including business case development and governance approvals.
• Support tender submissions, contract proposals and renewal activities while maintaining accurate documentation for audit compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in contract, project or service management within the mobile mining and construction equipment maintenance sector.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to balance customer, operational and financial priorities.
• Excellent stakeholder relationship skills and ability to influence outcomes in complex environments.
• Right to live and work in Australia and willingness to travel as required.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint.
• Power BI for reporting purposes.
