Senior Tax Consultant / Director (Various Levels)

About the role

KPMG Australia is seeking experienced tax professionals for senior consultant through director levels across its Tax division. The role involves advising clients on corporate tax, M&A tax, GST, global mobility, transfer pricing and tax controversy, helping them navigate complex tax environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advisory and compliance services across corporate tax, M&A, GST, global mobility, transfer pricing and tax controversy.
• Support clients on tax due diligence, structuring, modelling, duty and land tax compliance, and dispute resolution.
• Assist in tax transformation projects, technology implementations and tax governance initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualifications (CA/CPA, Master’s of Taxation, degree in Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Finance or Law).
• Demonstrated experience in the specific tax area applied for (e.g., corporate tax advisory, M&A tax, GST, global mobility, transfer pricing, tax controversy).
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and proactive attitude toward deadlines.

Required skills

• CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent).
• Master’s of Taxation (preferred).
• Experience with tax software such as ONESOURCE or Vertex.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite) for tax configuration.
