About the role

The State Revenue Office is seeking a Senior Tax Advisory Review Officer to manage complex state tax objections and private ruling requests. This role offers the opportunity to influence revenue reforms and mentor junior staff within a supportive, hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of medium‑complexity tax objections and private rulings across all revenue lines.
• Interpret and apply complex legislation to resolve stakeholder queries.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of revenue reform initiatives.
• Provide training and development support to junior team members.
• Assist in creating external tax technical materials.

Required profile

• Proven experience meeting quality and output targets in a legal or commercial setting.
• Strong ability to interpret complex legislation and conduct legal research.
• High‑level communication skills, both written and verbal.
