Senior Talent Advisor - Executive Recruitment

About the role

CIMIC Group, which shapes infrastructure, engineering, construction, resources and services across Australia and internationally, is looking for a Senior Talent Advisor to lead the attraction, engagement and hiring of senior leaders. The role reports to the Principal Advisor, Workforce Planning, and focuses on General Manager, Executive General Manager and executive-level appointments, plus selected strategic appointments. It is based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane with a national scope.

Key responsibilities

• Manage executive and senior leadership recruitment assignments across CIMIC Group businesses.
• Partner with General Managers, Executive General Managers and senior stakeholders to develop sourcing and attraction strategies.
• Conduct market mapping, competitor analysis and talent intelligence activities.
• Build and maintain pipelines of executive and senior leadership talent, and engage passive candidates through targeted search.
• Provide labour market insights, talent trends and workforce intelligence to business leaders.
• Support succession planning through talent identification and leadership benchmarking.
• Manage executive search partners and recruitment suppliers where specialist support is needed.
• Deliver confidential appointments and partner with Workforce Planning, Learning & Development and HR teams on internal capability.

Required profile

• Extensive experience recruiting senior leaders, executives or business-critical roles.
• Background in executive search, strategic sourcing or talent acquisition.
• Experience in complex sectors such as construction, engineering, infrastructure, resources or energy.
• Experience partnering directly with executive stakeholders and managing external search firms.
• Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills, and discretion.
• Tertiary qualification in HR, Business, Psychology or a related field is advantageous but not essential.
