Senior Systems Administrator – Linux & Windows

About the role

Green Light is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join its Sydney delivery team on an initial 6‑12 month assignment, with the possibility of extension. This onsite role focuses on building, validating, and configuring core infrastructure across both Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, providing hands‑on experience in a large enterprise program.

Key responsibilities

• Validate Windows and RHEL server builds against documented SOPs and standards.
• Build and configure servers, including storage allocation, partitioning, and LUN setup.
• Support VMware administration tasks such as provisioning and configuring virtual machines.
• Assist with clustering technologies on both Windows and Red Hat platforms.
• Perform Active Directory integration, DNS configuration, and related domain activities.
• Conduct system validation, testing, and readiness checks prior to deployment.
• Document build processes, validation steps, and configuration details.
• Escalate any inconsistencies or issues identified during build and configuration.

Required profile

• 5‑10+ years of experience in systems administration, engineering, or related infrastructure roles.
• Strong expertise with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Proven experience on high‑visibility, time‑critical projects.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.
