Senior Superintendent / Team Leader – Urban Development

About the role

Join SMEC, part of the Surbana Jurong group, to lead high‑profile urban and land development projects. You will work in a flexible hybrid environment, guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable, regenerative urban spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex, large‑scale urban projects from feasibility through design and construction.
• Apply project management and governance disciplines to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery.
• Oversee financial management, client liaison, and contract administration.
• Provide oversight, resolve project issues, and ensure excellent outcomes.
• Promote internal project management standards and coach project personnel.
• Lead technical problem‑solving and maintain strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of domestic superintendency or project‑management experience in urban/land development.
• Experience within an engineering design consultancy.
• Strong communication skills to advise and guide delivery.
• Knowledge of relevant design codes, local authority guidelines and Australian Standards.
• Proven track record of building trusted relationships with tier‑one developers.
