Senior Structural Engineer - Mining

About the role

Join AECOM’s mining team in Perth to lead structural engineering design across a wide range of mining and industrial projects. You will work in a collaborative environment that values innovation, safety and high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engineering design and documentation for mining, process plant, marine, civil and bridge structures.
• Lead concept design from scratch, ensuring innovation and safety are central to early discussions.
• Interact with multidisciplinary teams, clients and key stakeholders throughout all project phases.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years experience in structural engineering design within a consulting environment.
• Proven ability to produce concept designs, technical specifications and vendor documents.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and experience working with Australian Standards, ASME and API codes.

Required skills

• Structural design of mining and heavy‑industry facilities.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards, ASME codes and API standards.
• Experience with civil structures such as retaining walls, large culverts and pavement slabs.
