Senior Structural Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Industrial Structures team in Brisbane. You will work on major bulk‑materials handling projects, delivering innovative structural solutions that support our clients in the mining, resources and heavy‑industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver structural engineering solutions for large‑scale bulk‑materials handling facilities.
• Lead project and design packages while remaining hands‑on and accountable for outcomes.
• Collaborate with clients to define scopes, develop concepts and ensure successful delivery.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams across geographies to solve complex technical challenges.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring and coaching to junior engineers and the wider team.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualification in Structural Engineering and RPEQ registration.
• Experience in mining, resources or heavy‑industrial infrastructure, especially bulk‑materials handling projects.
• Proven track record of taking ownership and delivering practical, impactful results.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build professional client relationships.
• Capacity to see the big picture and challenge assumptions.

Required skills

• Spacegass
• FEA tools such as Strand 7 or ANSYS
• Parametric modelling with Rhino and Grasshopper
• 3D model interrogation using Navisworks or ACC
