Senior Structural Engineer – Building Engineering

About the role

Join AECOM’s Buildings + Places Structures team in Perth as a Senior Structural Engineer, delivering innovative and sustainable structural solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate structural design and delivery for projects in sectors such as aviation, sport, culture, education, healthcare and transport.
• Prepare and review structural analysis, calculations, design reports, specifications and engineering documentation ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and the NCC/BCA.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop efficient, sustainable design outcomes and manage project deliverables, timelines and budgets.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in structural engineering within a consulting environment, focusing on building structures.
• Australian citizenship is required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software: SpaceGass, ETABS, RAPT, Structural Toolkit.
• Experience using SAP2000, RAM, IdeaStatiCa and Grasshopper (preferred).
