Senior Strategic Talent Acquisition Specialist

About the role

Join AECOM's Water business as a senior talent acquisition partner, advising senior leaders on workforce planning and strategic hiring to support critical infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to develop strategic hiring and workforce plans.
• Provide market intelligence, competitor insights and workforce recommendations.
• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment for specialist water industry positions and build proactive talent pipelines.
• Support international recruitment, visa pathways and talent mobility.
• Use data, analytics and AI tools to influence hiring decisions and improve recruitment processes.
• Collaborate with employer branding teams to strengthen AECOM’s talent market position.

Required profile

• 8+ years of recruitment or talent acquisition experience, preferably in engineering, construction or infrastructure.
• Proven experience partnering with senior leaders on workforce planning and strategic hiring.
• Strong knowledge of the Australian talent market and international skilled migration processes.
• Commercial mindset with ability to translate workforce data into business recommendations.
