Senior Specialist - Cost Control

About the role

The Senior Specialist – Cost Control will maintain accurate cost information across CBH’s project portfolio, preparing reports, updating systems and providing insights to support project decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate project and portfolio cost reports covering actuals, commitments, accruals, approved changes, variances and forecasts.
• Maintain cost registers, control sheets and reporting inputs, confirming accuracy with project teams.
• Partner with Delivery Teams, Finance and Commercial to resolve data quality issues and provide cost insights.
• Coordinate project funding appropriations, change updates and contract pricing across cost control systems.
• Process contract variations, progress claims and monthly accruals in CMS and SAP, supporting assurance checks.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Project Controls or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Proven expertise in cost control, project controls, project accounting or financial reporting within a complex project environment.
• Sound judgement when providing advice, identifying cost risks and supporting decisions.
• Comfortable balancing analysis, stakeholder engagement and hands‑on reporting.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel capability.
• Experience with SAP.
• Experience with CMS.
• Familiarity with Power BI or Power Query.
