Lead & Senior Cost Controllers (Talent Community)

About the role

Fortescue is building a talent community for senior and lead cost control practitioners to support its large‑scale decarbonisation and green power projects. You will work on major construction and execution projects, providing cost insight, reporting and commercial judgement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts and capital expenditure, tracking costs, commitments and actuals.
• Produce cost reports, investigate variances and turn capital data into actionable insights.
• Support month‑end processes, including change management, earned value, progress and accruals.
• Review contractor claims, invoices and payment documentation, identifying cost risks and recommending actions.
• Collaborate with project controls, finance, contracts, procurement and contractors; at senior level, improve processes and mentor team members.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in major project cost control, preferably in mining or large infrastructure.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
• Commercial acumen in a program‑based environment.
