Senior SEO Specialist (Melbourne)

About the role

StudioHawk is looking for a Senior SEO Specialist to lead its most challenging, high‑impact campaigns. Based in Melbourne, you will own strategy and execution from start to finish while helping to raise the overall quality of the agency’s SEO practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high‑level SEO campaigns for key accounts and maximise ROI.
• Develop and implement on‑page, off‑page, technical and content strategies using a data‑driven approach.
• Conduct comprehensive SEO audits, translate findings into clear priorities, roadmaps and actionable tasks.
• Manage advanced onsite changes, applying practical knowledge of HTML, CSS and basic PHP.
• Communicate directly with clients via email, calls and meetings, presenting results that build trust.
• Mentor junior team members, support campaign check‑ins and act as second‑in‑command for the Team Leader when required.
• Create and roll out improved workflows and deliver internal projects that enhance delivery quality.
• Occasionally run training sessions, masterclasses or workshops for the wider SEO team.

Required profile

• Located in Melbourne, Australia.
• 2–3 years of hands‑on SEO experience, including a dedicated SEO Specialist role.
• Growth mindset: eager to learn, humble, collaborative and focused on delivering meaningful results.
• Strong communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration.
