Senior Sales Associate – Sydney Airport

About the role

POP MART, a global pop-culture and designer-toy brand with 550+ stores and 2,300 Robo Shops, is hiring a full-time Senior Sales Associate for its Sydney Airport store. The role is a key support partner to the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, helping drive daily operations, uphold store standards and lead shifts when required. It is a permanent position averaging 38 hours per week, with flexible availability across all 7 days, including weekends, late-night trading and public holidays; airport hours run 6am to 10pm.

Key responsibilities

• Lead shifts and support store leadership: open and close the store, act as the senior team member on duty, and help deliver business objectives
• Deliver outstanding customer experiences: build connections with customers, fans and collectors, share product knowledge, and drive sales through upselling and cross-selling
• Support team performance: onboard and train new members, coach Sales Associates and foster a high-performing team culture
• Maintain operational excellence: keep inventory accurate, assist with stocktakes and deliveries, monitor store presentation, process transactions accurately and support loss prevention
• Complete opening, trading and closing routines on time, and stay available during peak season (November to January)

Required profile

• At least 2 years' retail experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
• Previous experience as a Senior Sales Associate, Keyholder, Team Leader or similar role highly regarded
• Experience opening and closing a retail store
• Ability to support, coach and motivate team members, and take accountability for store performance during shifts
• Full-time availability, including peak season and airport shift rotations (morning, day and night); Australian working rights required

Required skills

• Understanding of retail operations, customer service and store standards
• Strong communication and organisational skills
