Senior & Recruitment Officer – WA Public Sector Pool

About the role

The People and Culture Recruitment team is building a pool of experienced recruitment professionals to support permanent and fixed‑term positions across the Western Australian public sector. The pool includes a Senior Recruitment Officer (Level 4) and a Recruitment Officer (Level 3) who will work from the centrally located Perth office.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end recruitment services, including advertising, selection, assessment, appointment and onboarding.
• Advise and support hiring managers on talent acquisition strategies and contemporary attraction practices.
• Respond to queries from current and prospective employees regarding recruitment and employment matters.
• Ensure all activities comply with WA Public Sector and departmental recruitment standards.
• Maintain accurate records and deliver a highly responsive, customer‑focused service.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience delivering full‑cycle recruitment in a fast‑paced environment (senior role).
• Strong knowledge of WA public‑sector recruitment, selection and appointment principles.
• Ability to use initiative, solve problems and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational and planning skills.
• For the Recruitment Officer level, experience interpreting policy, procedures and industrial legislation.
