Senior Recruitment Consultant - Mining

About the role

Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to lead and grow a portfolio of key mining customers across Queensland. This is a highly visible role responsible for managing strategic customer relationships, driving commercial growth, ensuring workforce delivery excellence and acting as the main point of accountability for customer outcomes. The role works closely with Recruitment, Operations, Safety, Payroll and Support teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage key customer relationships across the Queensland mining portfolio and build partnerships with operational, commercial and leadership stakeholders.
• Identify and secure opportunities to grow workforce demand and expand service offerings, and drive job order generation and account development.
• Partner with recruitment teams to deliver workforce solutions and lead workforce planning discussions.
• Act as escalation point for customer and workforce matters and support employee and industrial relations, investigations, performance management and workplace issues.
• Oversee safety, incident, injury management and return-to-work processes with internal stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and support to onsite Workforce Coordinators and ensure contractual obligations, compliance and service standards are met.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in account management, workforce solutions, recruitment, labour hire or a related industry, with a track record of growing customer accounts.
• Experience in mining, resources, industrial or operational environments.
• Experience managing employee relations, industrial relations, investigations and workplace issues.
• Strong commercial acumen, business development capability, and excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, solve problems and manage competing priorities.

Required skills

• Workforce planning, recruitment, mobilisation and workforce management knowledge.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety, incident management, injury management and return-to-work processes.
