Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Contracts Administrator

About the role

Laing O'Rourke, together with its joint venture partner Amentum Australia, is supporting the Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) programme to deliver the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard (NPSCY) project at Osborne, South Australia. It is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Contracts Administrator to join its AUKUS team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, cost planning, forecasting, cash flow and financial reporting.
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities to optimise project outcomes.
• Oversee change management, claims, extensions of time and commercial entitlements.
• Build and maintain strong client, stakeholder and supply chain relationships while influencing successful project delivery.

Required profile

• Attained or working towards obtaining MRICS.
• Minimum 7 years' post-graduate experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Construction Management, Building or Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Australian citizenship, and ability to hold or obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance at NV1 level.

• Microsoft software, especially Excel.
