Civil Site Supervisor - Underground Infrastructure & Pipe Laying

About the role

A civil contractor in the metropolitan Adelaide area is seeking an experienced, hands-on Civil Site Supervisor to run a crew of about six people on underground infrastructure, sewer and water main projects. The crew was built through industry contacts and referrals, and the supervisor runs their own jobs with management backing their decisions. The position is permanent and full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small crew focused on underground infrastructure projects.
• Take part in tasks such as pipe installation and excavation alongside the team.
• Ensure site operations comply with safety standards and method statements.
• Use digital devices to access construction plans and keep accurate site records.
• Coordinate daily workload efficiently, supporting team autonomy and productivity.

Required profile

• On-site supervisory and underground infrastructure construction experience.
• Experience supervising underground infrastructure and pipe-laying teams with a hands-on approach.
• Current Construction White Card.
• Permanent residency status in Australia; sponsorship or work visas are not accepted.

• Pay of up to $60 per hour, with overtime paid at penalty rates; 10-hour days are normal.

• Work across metropolitan Adelaide on modern plant and equipment.
• Additional shifts including weekends and nights available.
