Senior Quality Manager – Defence Technology

About the role

Arkeus is seeking a hands‑on Senior Quality Manager to own and evolve its Quality Management System as the company scales its defence technology manufacturing across Queensland and Melbourne.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the existing ISO 9001 certification at the Melbourne site.
• Lead the Gold Coast site through its first ISO 9001 certification.
• Develop and implement a QMS from the ground up, shaping the roadmap toward AS9100D.
• Embed quality practices across engineering, manufacturing and operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience building, implementing and maintaining an ISO 9001 QMS, including achieving certification.
• At least 5 years of quality experience in manufacturing or a regulated industry, preferably as the sole quality lead.
• Strong background in audits, non‑conformances, corrective actions, document control and quality metrics.
• Practical, startup‑mindset with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• ISO 9001 QMS development and certification.
• AS9100D knowledge (highly desirable).
