Senior Quality Engineer

About the role

Qantas is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join its new Product Innovation Centre in Adelaide. You will help ensure the reliability, performance, and security of a cabin‑crew‑facing mobile application used during flights, applying cutting‑edge testing strategies and automation practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve test approaches for a mobile app that must work offline, with intermittent connectivity and secure device management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional product teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Validate API integrations, RESTful services and end‑to‑end workflows.
• Investigate defects, produce detailed reports and mentor junior QA members.

Required profile

• 6+ years of enterprise QA experience with strong hands‑on mobile application and API testing.
• Proven experience testing native iOS apps across the full development lifecycle.
• Experience with both manual testing and automation contributions.
• Familiarity with offline or low‑connectivity testing environments.
• Ability to design functional, regression and exploratory test cases.
• Strong collaboration skills with engineers, product managers and designers.
