Senior Psychologist (Grade 3) – Integrated Mental Health Service

About the role

Join a multidisciplinary team delivering person‑centred, trauma‑informed mental health care within the Toowoomba Integrated Mental Health Service. As a Senior Psychologist (Grade 3) you will provide advanced assessment, formulation and evidence‑based therapies across face‑to‑face and digital settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver evidence‑based assessments and interventions such as CBT, ACT, DBT, MI, mindfulness and group programs.
• Provide short‑ to medium‑term care aligned with stepped‑care principles and manage complex presentations, including comorbidity, crisis response and de‑escalation.
• Offer secondary consultation and clinical supervision to colleagues (no line management).
• Participate in case reviews, multidisciplinary meetings and collaborative care planning.
• Contribute to governance, documentation, reporting, audits, accreditation and continuous service improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification clinical experience in mental health settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work with moderate to high acuity cases, complex presentations and dual diagnosis.
• Strong understanding of trauma‑informed, recovery‑oriented practice and social determinants of mental health.
• Current AHPRA registration and a valid state driver’s licence.
