Psychologist – Integrated Mental Health Service

About the role

Join a multidisciplinary team delivering person‑centred mental health care within the new Toowoomba Integrated Mental Health Service. You will provide high‑quality psychological therapies to individuals with moderate to increasing mental health needs, focusing on trauma‑informed and culturally safe practice.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments and deliver evidence‑based interventions such as CBT, ACT, DBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, relaxation strategies and group programs.
• Develop therapeutic alliances, support client‑led goal setting and recovery planning, and provide psycho‑education, crisis response and brief interventions.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences and secondary consultations, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Build and maintain referral pathways with consortium partners and external stakeholders to ensure integrated, holistic care.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years post‑qualification clinical experience in mental health settings.
• Significant experience providing psychological therapies and assessments, including work with complex presentations and dual diagnosis.
• Strong understanding of trauma‑informed, recovery‑oriented practice and the social determinants of mental health.
• Current AHPRA registration and a state‑based driver’s licence.
