Senior Project Manager – Technology Contracts & Commercial Negotiations

About the role

Australian Payments Plus is seeking a senior project manager to lead a high‑value technology contract programme. You will shape negotiation strategies, coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders and ensure successful delivery of complex technology arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of high‑value technology contract negotiations and renewals.
• Develop and execute negotiation strategies in partnership with Technology, Product, Legal, Risk, Finance and senior leadership.
• Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, resources, risks and dependencies.
• Provide clear options, trade‑offs and recommendations to executives for timely decision‑making.
• Maintain governance, reporting and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience as a senior project manager delivering complex projects.
• Proven track record leading high‑value technology contract negotiations.
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience in payments, financial services or regulated technology environments is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Technology contract expertise, especially operational resilience, cybersecurity, cloud services, data protection, incident management, business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Project planning, governance, budgeting and risk management.
• Executive stakeholder management and cross‑functional negotiation.
