Senior Project Manager – Large Hospital Build

About the role

Multiplex is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead delivery of a landmark hospital project in Queensland. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will own day‑to‑day execution across multiple workstreams and drive whole‑of‑project performance from 2026 to 2031.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a large multidisciplinary team including Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers, HSE and Commercial staff.
• Own programme sequencing, subcontractor performance, quality, safety, industrial relations and commercial outcomes.
• Translate construction strategy into consistent on‑site execution and act as the primary escalation point.
• Manage cost, risk, forecasting and financial outcomes for the entire project.
• Coordinate multiple concurrent workstreams, ensuring buildability and critical‑path alignment.

Required profile

• 15+ years of Australian construction experience, with senior project manager responsibility on major builds.
• Proven ability to lead large, multi‑disciplinary delivery teams.
• Strong commercial and contractual acumen, comfortable owning financial results.
• Experience in unionised environments and constructive industrial‑relations management.
• Excellent stakeholder management with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Commitment to safety leadership and building strong site culture.
• Background in health, defence, commercial or major institutional projects.
