Senior Project Manager - Defence

About the role

RPS, a Tetra Tech company, is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join its growing Perth project management team, which supports a client-side business in the defence sector. The role suits an established project management professional who wants to lead the delivery of infrastructure and building construction projects for Defence clients, manage client relationships and support the line management team. The position is office-based but requires regular short-distance travel for client meetings and site-based activities.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in project management, engineering, construction management or similar.
• Australian citizenship and a minimum Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance, held or obtained and retained.
• 10+ years of project management experience, including recent work on buildings and construction for Defence clients.
• Demonstrated leadership, including experience working within and managing teams.
• Ability to work within a large team structure and provide leadership to more junior staff.
• Flexibility to travel to site-based meetings and activities for clients on Garden Island.

Required skills

• Proven experience managing contracts, contract administration and design management.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and time management skills.
• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); Microsoft Project is desirable.
• AIPM Certified Practising Project Manager certification or equivalent is viewed favourably.
