Senior Project Manager – Data & AI Transformation

About the role

Acora is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex, multi‑work‑stream data and AI transformation programmes. This contract position is based in Sydney for an initial six‑month period, with the possibility of a permanent role.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high‑complexity data and AI programmes from initiation through deployment, hyper‑care and transition to BAU.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery, client satisfaction, governance, financial management and overall health of engagements.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams including engineering, architecture, data science, business analysis and PMO.
• Establish and run programme governance structures such as steering committees, RAID reviews and PMO forums.
• Produce executive reporting, status packs, dashboards and health assessments.
• Manage project financials, forecasting, budgeting, margin monitoring and change control.
• Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders across multiple regions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience delivering complex, multi‑work‑stream data and AI transformation programmes in a consulting or professional services environment.
• Strong communication and commercial awareness, able to engage senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage large, cross‑functional delivery teams and ensure alignment between scope, requirements and business objectives.
