Senior Project Manager - Civil Infrastructure

About the role

Alder Group, a business delivering critical infrastructure across the Moreton Bay region with a strong pipeline of secured civil projects, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of civil works. The role covers project delivery from planning and procurement through to completion, working closely with clients, stakeholders and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project planning, programming, forecasting and cost control.
• Lead project delivery so that safety, quality, programme and financial objectives are met.
• Coordinate project teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify and manage project risks, variations and contractual obligations.
• Review project documentation and monitor construction activities for compliance with specifications.
• Build relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
• Prepare project reports and oversee project close-out and final contract administration.
• Support the estimating team in procuring work as required by the Civil and Infrastructure General Manager.
• Review drawings, specifications and other documentation before and during the project, and chair project start-up meetings.
• Manage all head contract claims (variations, extensions of time, progress).

Required profile

• 5+ years' experience as a Project Manager in the Civil & Infrastructure sector.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline (preferred).
• Proven experience delivering civil infrastructure projects from start to finish.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in programming, budgeting and contract administration.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
