Senior Product Designer - Private Dining

About the role

OpenTable, part of Booking Holdings, is hiring a Senior Product Designer for its Private Dining team in Australia. The team is building the next generation of event management for restaurant groups, from concept and prototyping through to delivery and customer validation. The designer will shape consumer-facing experiences in the OpenTable app and work with product managers and engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead initiatives that give restaurateurs efficient ways to manage their private dining operations.
• Shape consumer-facing experiences for private dining offerings in the OpenTable app.
• Facilitate research with restaurant owners and staff to become an expert in restaurant operator workflows.
• Use systems thinking to scale solutions across the platform.
• Collaborate with product designers, product managers and engineers to deliver experiences that help restaurants serve their guests better.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of product design experience.
• Exceptional portfolio showing breadth of product design work, including complex or B2B2C workflows.
• Experience leading and facilitating workshops with cross-functional partners, and leading user interviews and design testing.
• Experience working closely with product and engineering in an agile environment.
• Ability to negotiate, prioritise and turn design work into measurable outcomes; strong product and business thinking.

Required skills

• Expertise in Figma and other prototyping tools.
• Fluency in AI tools such as Cursor, Figma Make or Claude.
• Design for web and mobile platforms.
