Senior Procurement Advisor – Federal Government

About the role

This position offers the chance to lead high‑risk, complex procurements that directly support nationally significant operations within a large Federal government organisation. You will work closely with senior executives, influence strategic decisions and help embed procurement excellence across a diverse portfolio of programs and services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex and high‑risk procurement initiatives from strategy through to contract award.
• Develop procurement strategies and sourcing approaches aligned with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs).
• Manage tender processes, evaluate bids and provide trusted advice to senior stakeholders.
• Conduct commercial negotiations and ensure all activities are compliant, defensible and audit‑ready.
• Mentor and develop procurement capability across teams.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in Commonwealth procurement, with a strong understanding of CPRs and government frameworks.
• Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior executive level.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver complex procurement outcomes in ICT, professional services, construction, infrastructure or similar specialist categories.
• Active NV1 security clearance and Australian citizenship.
