Senior Power System Studies Engineer

About the role

Join AECOM's Energy practice in Sydney as a Senior Power System Studies Engineer. You will deliver comprehensive power system studies that support the renewable energy transition and help integrate generation assets into the grid.

Key responsibilities

• Complete load flow, short circuit, arc‑flash, stability and reliability studies for a variety of generation, substation and transmission projects.
• Provide evidence‑based recommendations to clients and incorporate them into project proposals, budgets and schedules.
• Use and mentor others on Power System analysis tools such as ETAP, PSCAD, DigSilent PowerFactory and Power Factor.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience performing Power System Studies or grid‑connection analysis for renewable assets.
• Proven track record preparing technical reports for wind, solar PV, hybrid, BESS and related projects.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering (Chartered status preferred) and ability to mentor junior engineers.
