Senior Philanthropy Executive

About the role

This full‑time, 18‑month parental leave contract offers a senior leader the chance to drive philanthropic income for Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect). Reporting to the Relationship and Philanthropy Manager, you will own an established Trusts & Foundations portfolio and help secure funding that creates lasting impact for the autistic community.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, government departments and philanthropic organisations.
• Develop compelling proposals, manage submissions, reporting and the full grants lifecycle.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, aligning their priorities with Aspect’s strategic initiatives across education, adult services, research and more.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in philanthropy, major giving, grant writing or relationship management.
• Proven track record of generating and growing income through long‑term funder relationships.
• Strong knowledge of the philanthropic landscape and emerging funding trends.
• Current Working with Children Check (NSW) and National Police Check.

Required skills

• Exceptional written communication for proposals and presentations.
• Commercial and strategic acumen to translate organisational priorities into funding opportunities.
• Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
