Senior Pharmacist – Medication Management Lead

About the role

Metro South Health is seeking an experienced pharmacist to provide strategic leadership in medication safety and medicines management across its health service. You will guide organisation‑wide initiatives that improve prescribing practices, patient outcomes and the overall quality use of medicines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation and evaluation of medicines management initiatives, policies and clinical guidelines.
• Drive medication safety, quality improvement and clinical innovation projects.
• Provide expert clinical advice to senior leaders, multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders on complex medication matters.
• Develop education programmes, support service improvements, contribute to research and governance of medicines.

Required profile

• Experienced pharmacist with a passion for medication safety and change management.
• Advanced knowledge of contemporary medication management, evidence‑based prescribing and relevant legislation, standards and policies.
• Proven track record leading complex clinical projects and engaging multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Strong communication, leadership and change‑management capabilities.
