Senior Pharmacist General Medicine

About the role

Alfred Care Group is seeking an experienced Senior Pharmacist to lead clinical pharmacy services for the General Medicine Unit across its hospitals. The role involves delivering patient‑centred care, supervising pharmacy staff and contributing to research and education.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day clinical pharmacy services to the General Medicine unit at Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham hospitals.
• Supervise, mentor and develop clinical pharmacists, junior pharmacists, interns and pharmacy students.
• Collaborate with Lead and Senior Pharmacists to deliver advanced patient‑focused care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary education for medical, nursing, allied health and pharmacy teams.
• Contribute to research projects and pursue independent research within the General Medicine team.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist in Australia.
• Post‑graduate qualification in clinical pharmacy.
• Demonstrated leadership, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong communication, time‑management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
