Senior People & Culture Advisor

About the role

BCI Minerals is recruiting a Senior People & Culture Advisor to support its People Leaders across the full employee life cycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to performance, employee relations, workforce planning and organisational change. The role reports to the Manager People & Culture and provides operational support to that manager. It suits an experienced HR generalist who enjoys being close to the business, solving problems and building trusted relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HR support to People Leaders across the employee life cycle, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and consistent application of company policies and standards.
• Manage employee relations issues and provide input into cyclical People & Culture activities.
• Support the delivery of HR projects and strategic initiatives, including recruitment, onboarding, performance, employee relations, workforce planning and organisational change.
• Help shape people strategy and culture, supporting talent, remuneration, succession planning, engagement and retention.
• Run workplace investigations and collaborate with leaders.
• Travel regularly to the Mardie site, with a minimum expectation of site visits once a month.

Required profile

• Professional HR generalist with 5+ years of broad HR experience in an operational environment within the mining industry.
• Demonstrated experience in employee relations and industrial relations.
• Excellent knowledge of Australian employment law.
• Ability to run workplace investigations, manage organisational change and work in fast-paced environments.
• Current unrestricted working rights in Australia; a national police clearance not older than 6 months is required.
