About the role
The Senior Peer Worker will mentor and support the peer workforce across Connected Care, ensuring high‑quality, person‑centred, recovery‑oriented mental health services in Tasmania.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day delivery of services to ensure safe, high‑quality, participant‑centred outcomes.
- Coordinate team workflows, participant allocation, rostering and workforce coverage.
- Offer practical guidance to the peer work team consistent with Intentional Peer Support principles.
- Support implementation of organisational initiatives and continuous service improvement.
Required profile
- Certificate IV in Mental Health, Mental Health Peer Work, Community Services, or equivalent lived‑experience knowledge.
- Personal lived experience of mental health challenges and engagement with mental health services.
- Demonstrated understanding of peer work values and principles.
- Experience leading frontline teams and coordinating daily operations.
- Right to work in Australia and a current driver’s licence.
Required skills
- Strong understanding of recovery‑oriented and trauma‑informed practice.
- Ability to mentor, support and develop peer workers.
- Knowledge of Intentional Peer Support (IPS) principles.
