Senior Mobile Back-End Developer

About the role

Join Qantas' new Product Innovation Centre in Adelaide as a Senior Mobile Back‑End Developer. You will design and deliver robust, scalable services that power seamless digital experiences for our customers across airline and freight operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, delivery and development of mobile back‑end systems.
• Build high‑quality, secure, and performant APIs using Kotlin/Java and Spring Boot.
• Ensure reliability, observability and monitoring through tools such as Datadog and Splunk.
• Collaborate with technical and non‑technical partners to meet business outcomes.
• Mentor junior developers and champion continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 6+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of cloud‑based solution design, especially AWS.
• Proven ability to take accountability for delivery and quality.
• Experience influencing stakeholders and working in cross‑functional teams.
• Test‑and‑learn mindset with curiosity and collaboration.
