Senior Mechanical Engineering Project Manager (FIFO)

About the role

A senior Mechanical Engineering Project Manager is needed in Adelaide to support multiple projects across surface maintenance, including major concentrator tanks, hydro infrastructure and smelter facilities. The role is site-based, casual, paid $143.15 per hour on a 4:3 roster, with an ongoing opportunity across a diverse project portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of multiple mechanical projects across surface maintenance operations.
• Manage projects from planning and mobilisation through to execution, completion and close-out.
• Coordinate contractors, engineering teams, maintenance personnel and key site stakeholders.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, risks and reporting requirements.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with site standards and procedures.
• Provide project leadership across major assets such as concentrator tanks, hydro infrastructure and smelter facilities.
• Support project handover, commissioning and close-out activities.

Required profile

• Several years of project management experience in mining, resources, heavy industry or a similar environment.
• Strong mechanical engineering background with proven experience delivering mechanical projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects concurrently from concept to completion.
• Previous experience on surface maintenance projects is highly desirable; experience on major mining or processing facilities is highly regarded.
• Civil project management experience is advantageous but not essential.
