Senior Manager of People

About the role

Pattern is looking for a senior HR leader to drive employee experience, talent acquisition and strategic HR initiatives for its fast‑growing ecommerce technology business in Melbourne.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to design and implement HR strategies that support business objectives, focusing on engagement, performance and organisational development.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits legislation.
• Oversee exit interview analysis and make data‑driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and support benefits administration, payroll and timecard accuracy.
• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment: develop hiring plans, source top talent, conduct interviews, negotiate offers and manage the candidate experience.
• Drive employer branding on Glassdoor, LinkedIn and other platforms and deliver onboarding and engagement programmes that foster an inclusive culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong HR management experience with proven recruiting expertise.
• Solid knowledge of employment law, compliance standards and payroll processes.
• Excellent organisational, strategic decision‑making and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global team.
