Senior Manager, NFR Events and Breach Management

About the role

ANZ is looking for a senior leader to own the end‑to‑end event and breach management capability across Group Operations. Reporting to the Non‑Financial Risk function, you will ensure operational events are identified, managed and closed while delivering strong customer, risk and compliance outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Event Specialists and Case Managers, fostering a high‑performing, risk‑aware culture.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of operational events and breaches, ensuring effective governance, timely resolution and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with senior stakeholders in Group Operations, Legal, Compliance and Risk to drive accountability and influence decision‑making.
• Conduct deep‑dive analyses of event drivers, trends and root causes to prevent recurrence and improve performance.
• Drive consistency, quality and continuous improvement across event and breach management processes.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience leading risk or compliance teams in a large financial institution.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data insights into actionable improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior leaders across multiple functions.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and embed governance frameworks.
