Senior Manager – Deal Tax Advisory (Real Estate)

About the role

The Deal Advisory Tax team at KPMG works on high‑profile transactions across Real Estate, Private Equity and Infrastructure. As a Senior Manager you will join an energetic, market‑leading team and contribute to projects that often make the front page of the news.

Key responsibilities

• Structure inbound investment vehicles and advise on the taxation of trusts and Managed Investment Trusts.
• Conduct tax due diligence and review transaction documentation.
• Prepare and review trust and company tax returns for client compliance.
• Research and analyse complex technical tax issues.
• Manage ATO and FIRB correspondence related to transactions.
• Support business development initiatives and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Significant experience working with corporate clients on transactional tax matters.
• Proven ability to build strong client relationships and deliver high‑quality service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and supervise staff.

Required skills

• Strong tax technical expertise, particularly in structuring and due diligence.
• Experience with trust taxation and Managed Investment Trusts.
