Senior Manager – Corporate Tax Advisory

About the role

KPMG's Corporate Tax division is seeking a senior manager to lead Australian corporate tax compliance and reporting services for financial services clients. You will work with banks, asset managers, superannuation funds and insurers, providing high‑quality, commercially focused tax advice.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with financial services clients and understand their commercial and regulatory environments.
• Lead multiple tax engagements of varying size and complexity, ensuring high‑quality delivery.
• Advise on corporate income tax matters, including compliance, provisions, governance, transactions and strategic planning.
• Prepare and review well‑researched tax advice that translates technical issues into practical outcomes.
• Coach and mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of the tax capability.

Required profile

• Strong corporate income tax experience in a professional services, legal or in‑house environment, preferably with financial services clients.
• Demonstrated ability to research complex tax issues and produce clear, commercially focused advice.
• Experience across banking, capital markets, wealth/asset management, superannuation or insurance sectors.
• Legal, commerce, accounting or related degree; CA, CTA or equivalent qualification is desirable.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Australian corporate income tax legislation.
• Expertise in tax compliance, tax provisions and strategic tax planning.
