Senior Manager – Business Services & Tax

About the role

PAL is seeking a Senior Manager to join the leadership team as the Director’s second‑in‑command. You will own a portfolio of small‑business clients, lead a small team, and contribute to the firm’s strategic direction from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse client group, providing holistic advice on tax, structures, CGT, and estate planning.
• Oversee workflow and review team deliverables to ensure technical accuracy and timely delivery.
• Deliver advisory services such as financial forecasting, board reporting, and strategic planning.
• Coach and mentor team members, fostering their professional growth.
• Participate in shaping PAL’s long‑term strategy and day‑to‑day improvements.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in Australian public practice.
• CA or CPA qualification.
• Strong commercial acumen and technical expertise.
• Ability to lead with integrity and think like an owner.
