Senior Manager and Director - Turnaround & Restructuring Strategy

About the role

EY-Parthenon is recruiting multiple Senior Manager and Director positions within its Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy team, across Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Canberra. As a leader in the team you will work across a variety of deals, helping clients find financial, strategic and operational solutions to improve liquidity, credit availability and returns to stakeholders, and you will join a multi-disciplinary, global team.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the national team on market-leading medium and large insolvency appointments
• Run restructuring and turnaround engagements through early intervention projects such as independent business reviews, safe harbour advice, financial sustainability and counterparty reviews, and liquidity reviews
• Lead assignment planning on behalf of the engagement partner, including scope, conflicts, budgeting and staff planning
• Run formal insolvency matters (voluntary administrations, liquidations, receiverships) with relative autonomy under the supervision of the appointees
• Deliver detailed financial and commercial analysis, identify key issues and follow them up with management or stakeholders
• Oversee the drafting and delivery of presentations to stakeholders
• Share technical knowledge with the team and play a key role in team training
• Lead business development and build internal and external client relationships
• Supervise, coach and mentor staff at all levels

Required profile

• Degree in commerce or law or equivalent
• At least 7-13 years of related experience with a track record in restructuring and advisory work for creditors or distressed companies
• Already holds, or is willing to complete, the ARITA qualification
