Analyst / Associate, M&A Investment Banking (Natural Resources)

About the role

A global investment bank advising on complex M&A and capital markets transactions, including cross-border mandates, wants to appoint an Analyst / Associate to its Natural Resources coverage team. The role offers direct exposure to top clients across the mining sector and hands-on involvement across the full M&A transaction lifecycle, from origination through to execution, working closely with senior bankers.

Key responsibilities

• Build and sensitise financial models and valuations
• Prepare pitches, presentations and transaction materials
• Analyse companies, industries and new transaction opportunities
• Drive transaction execution and due diligence
• Advise on client solutions alongside senior bankers

Required profile

• 3+ years' M&A or valuation experience within investment banking or corporate advisory
• Outstanding academic credentials
• Understanding of global capital markets and cross-border M&A
• Ability to deliver under pressure and manage competing priorities
• Initiative, leadership and a collaborative approach
• Excellent communication skills and professional integrity
