Senior Legal Counsel – Energy & Infrastructure

About the role

An outstanding opportunity for an experienced legal professional to join a rapidly growing organisation at the forefront of Australia’s energy transition, working closely with executive leadership and key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal and commercial advice across a portfolio of major infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including EPC, supply, construction and services contracts.
• Support project development, delivery and operational activities, partnering with development, finance, commercial and project delivery teams.
• Assist with project financing, governance and investment-related matters and manage external legal advisers.
• Identify and mitigate legal, contractual and commercial risks and contribute to legal frameworks, processes and governance initiatives.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years post‑qualification experience, in‑house or private practice.
• Exposure to projects, infrastructure, construction, energy or renewable energy sectors.
• Strong experience negotiating and managing complex commercial agreements.
• Practical, solutions‑focused approach to legal risk management.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
