Senior Lecturer in Educational Leadership

About the role

Western Sydney University’s School of Education is seeking an experienced academic to lead Educational Leadership teaching and research on its Penrith campus. The role combines curriculum design, high‑quality instruction, and sector partnership development.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate Educational Leadership subjects.
• Design, develop and continuously improve evidence‑informed curriculum and learning experiences.
• Maintain an active research programme, produce high‑quality publications and secure research funding.
• Supervise Honours, postgraduate coursework and Higher Degree Research candidates.
• Build and nurture partnerships with schools, government agencies, professional bodies and community organisations.

Required profile

• Completed PhD or EdD in Education with a focus on Educational Leadership (mandatory).
• Demonstrated record of research achievement and high‑quality publications in Educational Leadership or related fields.
• Extensive experience in tertiary teaching, curriculum development and use of educational technologies.
• Proven ability to supervise Honours and Higher Degree Research candidates.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder‑engagement skills with a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.

Required skills

• Experience with online delivery modes and educational technologies.
• Ability to develop and assess evidence‑informed curriculum.
