Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor in Sports Management

About the role

The Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Sports Management will provide academic leadership and disciplinary expertise within the Peter Faber Business School. This full‑time, continuing role supports the growth, quality and ongoing enhancement of the Sports Management discipline across Melbourne and North Sydney campuses, with hybrid flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead curriculum design, course development and quality assurance for the new Sports Management major and related pathways.
• Develop and maintain industry partnerships to enhance student employability and professional engagement.
• Deliver high‑quality teaching, coordinate units and courses, and contribute to scholarly research and industry‑focused projects.
• Provide strategic leadership in curriculum innovation, academic governance and the advancement of Sports Management as a discipline.

Required profile

• Relevant academic qualifications (e.g., PhD) and a strong record of teaching excellence in higher education.
• Demonstrated research activity and experience in building industry collaborations.
• Ability to contribute to strategic growth, curriculum innovation and academic governance.
• Australian work rights (permanent for continuing roles).

• Total remuneration valued between AUD 178,482 and AUD 193,772 per year (pro‑rated), including salary and superannuation.
