Senior Integration Developer

About the role

Join Deakin’s Integration Development team within Infrastructure and Digital to lead the delivery of complex MuleSoft integration solutions across the university. This senior technical position works closely with architects, analysts, delivery teams and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of MuleSoft integration projects, from design through testing, deployment and support.
• Design secure, reliable and scalable APIs and integrations using contemporary patterns and technologies.
• Provide technical leadership through design and code reviews and guide stakeholders across the university.
• Drive improvements in DevOps, automated testing, code quality, reuse and operational reliability.

Required profile

• Postgraduate qualifications or extensive relevant experience in integration development.
• Significant experience designing, developing and supporting complex integration solutions in large enterprise and cloud environments.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and stakeholder‑engagement experience in an Agile delivery setting.

Required skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Design and development of REST and SOAP APIs, event‑driven architectures and messaging solutions.
• Proficiency across the software development lifecycle and modern DevOps practices (source control, CI/CD, automated testing, code‑quality controls).
