Senior HR Manager

About the role

Marsh is looking for a highly experienced Senior HR Manager to support People Managers across all Marsh businesses in the Pacific Region, based in Auckland or Sydney. The role coaches, supports and advises People Managers so that the quality of people management improves throughout the colleague lifecycle, directly improving the colleague experience.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and coach People Managers without regular oversight on the full range of HR activities, including employee relations matters such as investigations, performance improvement processes, disciplinary actions, grievances and appeals
• Support performance management, including implementing colleague training and monitoring compliance where required
• Handle communications, change management and organizational effectiveness
• Manage wellbeing and injury management, and leave and absence matters, including coordinating return-to-work accommodations and logistics
• Roll out and deliver HR programs in-region and contribute to process improvements

Required profile

• Confidence and experience operating without regular supervision across the full breadth of HR activity, bringing in specialist colleagues as needed
• Experience supporting managers with complex employee relations cases
• Demonstrated ability to coach People Managers at every level through the employee life cycle
• Ability to identify improvements to People Services and lead work defining and implementing them
• Nice to have: significant experience in a similar role with strong HR generalist experience, proven experience working with leaders of all levels, passion for change through partnership, and enthusiasm for keeping up with HR and industry trends
